You welcomed me with open arms so I wanted to 1st THANK YOU and give you a peek into what’s been happening since.

This August, I’m starting my 2nd single and EW music video campaign. And I’m REALLY excited about thAt because since June 22, 2011, I’ve already lost 17lbs by just eating right and running 5 miles everyday. (Ssshhh! Don’t tell nobody but I got tired of my thighs rubbing together like firecrackers on the 4th of July!) So wORLd watch out! LMBO!!!

In addition to that, in a few days, I’ll be in Chicago home of R. Kelly, Kanye West and others to reupholster my creativity and of course, slip in a lunch with Mr. Derrick Brown (Clear Channel executive & EW ambassador) who has also been a great mentor for me.

Speaking of mentoring, this summer has been so rewarding with my program, TOO BEAUTIFUL. It’s a program designed for college bound and/or disenfranchised girls who need help staying on track towards their ultimate dreams for life. I started the program several years ago after performing “Too Beautiful For Words” as Shug Avery in The Color Purple. And seeing these young ladies forge ahead under my mentoring with such dedication and passion to accomplish their goals for life has simply been breathtaking.

One young lady has been working hand in hand with my management team to solidify a tour with EW, Leela James, Cheryl “Pepsii” Riley and others. She has termed the tour “Girls Are Holding It Down” tour. And the concept actually excites me because its me, with my anthem-like voice, gritty storyline lyrics over LIVE energy bursting music. Leela with her alarming beauty, captivating emotional drenched voice to make anyone STOP in their tracks just to hear what she has to say! Along with my girl, Cheryl! I mean really, what can I say about Cheryl???!? ….. This lady is simply, “stand still I got THIS” amazing!!! oooWE I just get happy thinking about it all!! Lmbo!! So I will keep you posted with everything.

OTHER THAN THAT, the sun is still shinning, the birds are still chirping and I gottah lottah work to get done before heading out at noon to scoop up my “mini-me” from camp!

One sister actually winked & threw her hand up like she was testifyin’ & I tooted my horn and pushed through the green light.
